CS 22.251  Vibration and buffeting

CAA ORS9 Decision No. 1

Each part of the sailplane must be free from excessive vibration at all speeds up to at least VDF. In addition, there must be no buffeting, in any normal flight condition including the use of air brakes, severe enough to interfere with the satisfactory control of the sailplane, cause excessive fatigue to the crew, or result in structural damage. Stall warning buffeting within these limits is allowable. In the case of a powered sailplane this requirement must be met with the engine running at all allowable powers.
