The holder of a CPL(H) (helicopter) shall only act as commander in commercial air transport on a single-pilot helicopter if
-
when operating under IFR, he/she has a minimum of 700 hours total flight time on helicopters, including 300 hours as pilot-in-command. These hours shall include 100 hours under IFR. The 300 hours as pilot-in-command may be substituted by hours operating as co-pilot within an established multi-pilot crew system prescribed in the operations manual on the basis of two hours of flight time as co-pilot for one hour flight time as pilot-in command;

when operating under visual meteorological conditions (VMC) at night, he/she has:

a valid instrument rating; or
-
300 hours of flight time on helicopters, including 100 hours as pilot-in-command and 10 hours as pilot flying at night.

when operating under IFR, they have completed a minimum of 700 hours total flight time on helicopters, which must include, 300 hours as a pilot-in-command and 100 hours under IFR of the total flight time on helicopters. Except that:

up to 50 hours instrument time performed on an FFS(H) level B or FTD level 3 qualification or higher qualified for instrument training may be credited towards the 100 hours requirement; and

hours operating as co-pilot within an established multi-crew system prescribed in the operations manual may be substituted on the basis of 2 hours flight time as copilot for 1 hour flight time as pilot-in-command for the 300 hours requirement;

when operating under visual meteorological conditions (VMC) at night, he/she has:

a valid instrument rating; or
-
300 hours of flight time on helicopters, including 100 hours as pilot-in-command and 10 hours as pilot flying at night.
