SPA.LVO.100 Low visibility operations

The operator shall only conduct the following low visibility operations (LVO) when approved by the CAA :

  1. low visibility take-off (LVTO) operation;

  2. lower than standard category I (LTS CAT I) operation;

  3. standard category II (CAT II) operation;

  4. other than standard category II (OTS CAT II) operation;

  5. standard category III (CAT III) operation;

  6. approach operation utilising enhanced vision systems (EVS) for which an operational credit is applied to reduce the runway visual range (RVR) minima by no more than one third of the published RVR.

The operator shall only conduct the following low visibility operations (LVO) when approved by the CAA :

  1. take-off operations with visibility conditions of less than 400 m RVR;

  2. instrument approach operations in low-visibility conditions; and

  3. operations with operational credits, except for EFVS 200 operations, for which a specific approval is not required.
