SPO.OP.180 Take-off conditions — aeroplanes and helicopters

Before commencing take-off, the pilot-in-command shall be satisfied that:

  1. according to the information available, the weather at the aerodrome or operating site and the condition of the runway or FATO intended to be used would not prevent a safe take-off and departure; and

  2. applicable aerodrome operating minima will be complied with.

On 30 October 2025 point (b) will be replaced by:

  1. the selected aerodrome operating minima are consistent with the following:

    1. the operative ground equipment;

    2. the operative aircraft systems;

    3. the aircraft performance;

    4. flight crew qualifications
